Our Technology

Introducing Our State-of-the-Art Dental Technology The Gentle Wave by Sonendo©

At Hearthstone Dental Specialists, the number one thing we provide is caring and comforting care. We consistently remain up to date with the tools and techniques to give every patient their most beautifully healthy smile in a superbly comfortable environment.

We proudly use the GentleWave by Sonendo at Hearthstone Dental Specialists.  We are one of only a few dental practices in the San Antonio corridor who offer this highest level of care for our patients. You will experience comfort, efficiency, and best results with the GentleWave experience during the root canal treatment.

In addition, we have other technology such as our endodontic microscope. The Extaro® 300 by Zeiss, will save you time and help us practice with higher efficiency and more success. Below are some of the other many advantages this technology offers for us and our patients:

    • Finding hidden and accessory canals
    • Better ergonomics
    • Locating and removing separated instruments
    • Preserving more tooth structure

Hearthstone Dental Specialists also offers a digital cone-beam using the J Morita CBCT. The Cone beam computed tomography is an innovative medical imaging technique that provides endodontists with three-dimensional views of the patient. In certain cases, CBCT greatly enhances the endodontist’s ability to diagnose, evaluate, treat and care for patients. Some advantages of the CBCT include detecting infection prior to a 2D image, identifying complex tooth anatomy and the detection of vertical root fractures. In conclusion, CBCT images lead to better treatment decisions and more predictable outcomes.

You, our patients, are important to us. We hope you’ll consider the benefits we can offer you with our extraordinary technologically enhanced services at Hearthstone Dental Specialists.
